Guest sirvine Posted March 17, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted March 17, 2007 Mine went through, but he never responded. I'm sure it's just a technical problem on his side.

carstenw Posted March 17, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted March 17, 2007 I recall that he had some trouble with his connection before. Just wait it out and it should be fine.
bap Posted March 17, 2007 Share #5 Â Posted March 17, 2007 I was in Rome a few days ago and spoke to him ...he is very busy and only had a few minutes to talk and he did say he is having email problems. Hopefully he will work them out. You can always reach him on 39 063313185 if it can't wait
rwfreund Posted March 17, 2007 Share #6 Â Posted March 17, 2007 I gave up, called him, and sent a fax. That worked real well. Maybe he should consider a gmail account. -bob
carlmuck Posted March 17, 2007 Share #7 Â Posted March 17, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Good for him that he's busy. e-mails back and forth to his "luigi@leicatime.com" worked fine last week, he constructed a custom case for my M8 and I had it in 3 weeks. Â Great craftsmanship and good customer service (from 4,500 miles away!), and a Leica enthusiast to boot! Â c.
Gilles L. Posted March 18, 2007 Share #8 Â Posted March 18, 2007 Carl, Â What type of customization did you make to the case? I have one for my M7, I like it very much. I will be ordering one for my M8 soon.
BerndReini Posted March 18, 2007 Share #9 Â Posted March 18, 2007 I ordered a case over a month ago and just assumed he was busy. At the beginning of the week I E-mailed him asking about the status of my order, which I had payed through Paypal. Luigi told me about his E-mail problems, apologized profusely and within TWO DAYS, he shipped a case via FedEx at no additional charge from Italy to California. So keep trying to E-mail him. Â Thanks Luigi!
carlmuck Posted March 18, 2007 Share #10 Â Posted March 18, 2007 Carl, Â What type of customization did you make to the case? I have one for my M7, I like it very much. I will be ordering one for my M8 soon. Had him build an M8 case with an attached strap, I have one for my m6. With the strap attached to the half case I find it easier to handle the camera when changing film (or batteries and SD card now). You can put the baseplate in the case and work with the body. If the halfcase is separate you have to handle the halfcase, baseplate, camera, film/cards (exposed and unexposed). Â c.

It also has a slot for a spare SD card. I like the M8 half case so much that I ordered one for my M6 also.  Alan
Gilles L. Posted March 18, 2007 Share #12 Â Posted March 18, 2007 Thanks Carl; Alan, great suggestion for the spare battery/SD card, I will order it. The half case is very nice indeed. I have one for my M7, made of vintage well patinated brown leather. The case has really helped protect the body from any rough handling.

enboe Posted March 18, 2007 Share #14 Â Posted March 18, 2007 Just a note. I emailed Luigi last night to check the status of an order from February. Sure enough, there was a reply waiting this morning. Success and a quality product has Luigi swamped, and my item will be in the queue this week. ibogost Posted March 18, 2007 Share #15 Â Posted March 18, 2007 Right, just keep resending if you get bounces. Eventually it seems to go through. Odd.
