There is now support in the new M for R-lenses - through an appropriate adapter.

I have an excellent 180 mm Telyt that is collecting dust.

So - - how about supporting vintage Visoflex lenses?

What I would like:

1) a visoflex adapter (without the mirror of course, just a tube)

2) capability to select the Visoflex lenses

in fact there was one adapter like this with a shoe for attaching a sniper viewer. There are only a view once in a while on the market, very expensive . . :-((

Such a simple visoflex adapter can be second source of course. I would buy from a far-east source without a pain in the heart...

There is a visoflex lens to EOS mount adapter I bought from CameraQuest. If we combine that with an EOS to M mount adapter, that may already exist or will be made in the near future with the appearance of the M, you have a double solution: mounting visoflex lenses to the M without the mirror box of the old visoflex and being able to put EOS lenses on the M.

Presumably a similar solution could be found with Nikon mount....

You may find some ideas how to adapt the Viso-Lenses without an Viso-body here:

Though as all those TXBOOs etc. are rare and are only made for some lenses, to use a Viso III which enables you to fix the mirror would be the most practical way for using the Viso lenses. You than can use the Viso-viewfinder in addition to the display, or even the so called "Electronic-Visoflex", if you don't put on the optical viewfinder. I guess (though I am not sure, as of course I havn't tried) that the optical viewfinder for the Viso will normally be the best solution.

I see many have shed their ideas already.

It is indeed a similar unit as TXBOO that I had in mind, but more basic (no shoe needed).

As I have a Visoflex II, I think a new TXBOO tube would make a better option - otherwise I would have to blacken the viewer ground glass, i.e. tape it off, and that is esthetically not very pleasing (and heavy).

With a new eVisoflex (EVF-2) viewer on the market for the M, I expect mirrored V-III's to be offered now for a low amount, if there is a 41mm adapter 'ring' (or tube) available to use for those users.

Basically, I like the configuration/options of the new M.
