ganzosrevenge Posted October 3, 2012 Share #1 Posted October 3, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) A number of sites claim that from 1960 to c. 1967 / 1968, thirteen iiig cameras were made by Leica (for some reason) in light of the popularity of the M3. What's the reason for this, and has anyone owned one, and are there differences in these 13 relative to the thousands of iiig's made from 1957 to 1960? luigi bertolotti Posted October 3, 2012 Share #2 Posted October 3, 2012 By logic they ought to have s/n belonging to the last batch of IIIg... which, as usual, is dated at a certain year (1960) but doesn't mean that ALL the numbers reserved were actually manufactured : a little mistery on which I can't say anymore... Let's hope for someone else to give some more insights...
