cbretteville Posted October 1, 2012 Share #1 Posted October 1, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) What are your experiences with regards to shelf life of an opened bottle of HC-110? This is the semi-syrup we get here in Europe (i.e., I can use it for Solution B etc directly). I'm aware I can do a test, but your experiences are much appreciated. Thanks, Carl
Advertisement Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Hi cbretteville, Take a look here How long does HC-110 keep?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Rolo Posted October 1, 2012 Share #2 Posted October 1, 2012 I'm working my way down a bottle of syrup that I opened 2 years ago and the colour, nor performance has changed at all. Can't say it'll last like Rodinal, but I guess 10 years might be a good guess. What makes it worse is, I often use dilution H.
cbretteville Posted October 2, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted October 2, 2012 Thanks Rolo, much appreciated information. I'm about 1/3 through mine in 18 months or so. I use 'H' to, but only when the time with 'B' would be 5 minutes or below. Carl

tobey bilek Posted October 20, 2012 Share #6 Posted October 20, 2012 It goes from yellow to yellow/orange in two years. Toss it. After all the time and effort and cost of film, I would not worry over cost of developer.
