Leica M 40mp is enough to finish current medium format but meanwhile people like me who have 50mp backs on hassies or phase ones won't go S way unless there is a really good reason for that. 60mp CMOS or something similar and please not the Sony 44x33 shitty sensor Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Leica could double or triple the price of everything and both companies would do well. Sony branded cameras could all be mirrorless E mount. Well Sony's relationship with Zeiss would have to be accommodated somehow for there to be rebranding of Sony under the Leica name. Alternatively they could just use the Flying Pig brand.
