roydonian Posted September 22, 2012 Share #1 Posted September 22, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) A couple of years ago I read an article in the LHSA ‘Viewfinder’ magazine describing a shoot-off between a pre-war 5cm Zeiss Sonnar and an equivalent (Xenon?) Leica lens. Can anyone tell me what issue this appeared in? Best regards, Doug

farnz Posted September 22, 2012 Share #2 Posted September 22, 2012 Sorry, Doug, I don't (I'm no longer a LHSA member) although the subject is of interest to me. Dante Stella says some things, which I found interesting, about the Sonnar, the Xenon, and the Nikkors although some of it refers to post-war optics. Pete.
