jdlaing Posted September 18, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted September 18, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) My 50 Summilux Pre Aspherical has oil on the blades and one of the inner elements has a bunch of small spots covering it that look like oil splatter. Â Looks like off to Leica. Â I hope this is able to be fixed.......?
Advertisement Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Hi jdlaing, Take a look here Ratz.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
brianv Posted September 19, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted September 19, 2012 I'm sure Leica can take care of it. The spots are probably from the oil. I have 70+ year old Coated (Zeiss T Sonnar) lenses that had this problem, had never been opened, cleaned up perfectly.
