Advertisement Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Hi stump4545, Take a look here aperture 3 library too big. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Manicouagan1 Posted October 2, 2012 Share #2 Posted October 2, 2012 As long as you Mac has a fair amount of free space on the hard drive that is not too big. For the crashes : 1) make sure you have updated both Aperture and the Mac OS, recent updates have been directed at stability issues. 2) fix the permissions and repair Aperture library (open Apperture while holding option and command keys) 3) use the Mac OS recovery disk (restart Mac OS holding Option key) and use Disk Utility to repair permissions and repair hard drive as a whole. 4) delete Aperture preference plist file (need to use Finder holding option key and tab Go to get to Library), find Preferences then Aperture plist, just delete:) it 4) if 1-4 don't work save library project by project and delete a project or two that is not currenty active
