tplbogey Posted September 6, 2012 Share #1 Posted September 6, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Why is there 2 versions of this lens - (1) With "LUMIX" on the lens body and at the front "LEICA" on top and "D VARIO-ELMARIT 1:2.8-3.5/14-50" at the bottom; and (2) Without "LUMIX" on the lens body and at the front "LEICA D VARIO-ELMARIT" on top and "1:2.8-3.5/14-50" at the bottom. Can someone please enlighten me as to why 2 different versions were produced for the same lens?

Bobitybob Posted September 6, 2012 Share #2 Posted September 6, 2012 I don't know for certain, but it may be that one came as a kit lens with the Panasonic DMC L-1 and the other came with the Leica Digilux 3.
