Rick Posted September 5, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted September 5, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) These shots I hope are just interesting and not meant to be great photographs, I just found them kind of fun to take. Â The weather across the US has been very hot and dry. Farmers in the Midwest have lost their entire corn crops, for example. There have been some huge forest fires this year. As we traveled from Glacier Park down on highway 93 we were inundated with smoke, especially near the Bitterroot Mountains on the Idaho Montana border near the continental divide. Â Further south as we approached Stainley Idaho, it got worse. We passed many fire fighter camps and saw several fires from the highway. Ranchers were moving cattle away from the fires and trucks were parked with owner's belongings stacked in the back, waiting for the time to evacuate their homes or ranches. Â All images are with R Telyt-APO 280/.2.8 except the last shot was with the R 50 mm/1.4. pauledell Posted September 5, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted September 5, 2012 Rick, Â A great series of reportage pictures. A real tragic event with so many losing everything they own. Where I live, the corn crops have been severely effected but we have been spared the real danger and hardship. Thanks for posting. Â Paul
