Advertisement Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Hi JoBoBrussels, Take a look here Sharpness is an overrated concept. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted September 5, 2012 Share #2 Posted September 5, 2012 JoJo - A rather nice shot but it was bigger than permitted on the Forum - Please limit your posts to photos with no side larger than 960 pixels, and a file size of no larger than 300 KB. I replaced your original photo with one I resized. In the future I implore you to follow the rules. I also encourage you to place photos directly on the Forum rather than via Flickr since fairly often the Flickr images become unreadable or unavailable. Avatar Posted September 5, 2012 Share #3 Posted September 5, 2012 While sharpness can be an over rated concept, out of focus is a different thing.. I think the image would be easier to look at and be more powerful with something more in focus.. Interesting scene.
gsgary Posted September 5, 2012 Share #4 Posted September 5, 2012 I think i would have liked the bystander in focus, take a look at ALEXEY TITARENKO | PHOTOGRAPHY some of the best blurred shots i have ever seen
pauledell Posted September 5, 2012 Share #5 Posted September 5, 2012 A good idea but sharpness has been a basic concept for a long time and there must be a reason for it. A picture with a limited field of sharpness with the rest out-of-focus is reasonable for making a statement but it must be done artfully. Frank Sellitto Posted September 5, 2012 Share #6 Posted September 5, 2012 The image is sharp enough for me. I enjoy looking at it. ~f
