Please excuse my ignorance - is it true that all black M8.2 are black paint?

The Wiki is a bit unclear (to me).

Camera body - Material Enclosed all-metal body of <high-grade> highly stable magnesium alloy for <sustained> professional use over many years. Black <leatherette cladding> synthetic leather coating. Top and bottom covers of milled brass, black or silver chromium plated. (LEICA M8.2: black paint finished). Tripod <socket> thread - DIN 4503 - A1/4 (1/4") <tapped socket in> in the center of the bottom cover. <, in line with the center of the lens.>

Cheers and TIA

Philip

There are silver M8.2

and special editions in green and white.

It's a little bit tricky on first sight, because on front of the M8.2 you will read only M8 but on the hot shoe for the flash you'll find LEICA M8.2.

Thanks for the links.

Sorry, I may not have expressed myself clearly. I am wondering if all black M8.2 have the black paint finish or if they were also made in black chrome finish?

I may not have expressed myself clearly; There seems to be only one single black chrome M8.2
