Michael M. Posted March 14, 2007 Share #21 Posted March 14, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hardware fixed M8 from Solms with 1.092. most serious existing problem that I've seen myself is the "green band" from an on-frame overexposed light source. The so-called "dark pixel" flaw had a camera lock with an apparently bad SD card (Sandisk Extreme 3) stupid 1.092 thing: the menu 'flickers' / rolls when you turn on the camera every 100 switches or so. Thanks! So I feel myselfe not that stupid - Also "menue flicker" starting with 1.092. To be reproduced at switch-on ... went direct to menue ... shift red frame by controls - I got it often that way. Also after short-timed on-off-on-off-on cyclus it pops up more often. - Camera wasn't switching fully by "main-switch" to OFF (1x happened). Still the "electrical button-clicks" where working (audible) - nothing else worked. Full hang up. No restart in "S" ect. Main-reset by batterie out and then OK - Memory loss: "User-Profile 1" resetted to "-" without changing any parameter during the mentioned "on-off-on .." procedure. - Switching by right side controls (wheel and cross-buttons) with unsteadiness (red frame overstepp next or even more row(s)) Camera 3105xxx from mid January 2007(2nd Generation?), FW 1.092 updated (never done 1.091) One general problem for me is the low maximum running time of fully charged battery if camera is connected to remote PC via USB link: 2,5 ...3,5 hours max. No activity on bus - only camera in active USB mode. Very short! Any experience out there? Anybody able to connect fully charged camera to PC and line up and see how long it will stay connected (until battery get low) ... Michael
Advertisement Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Hi Michael M., Take a look here Which problems does your M8 have (if it have them at all). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted March 14, 2007 Share #22 Posted March 14, 2007 - Memory loss: "User-Profile 1" resetted to "-" without changing any parameter during the mentioned "on-off-on .." procedure. Now that you mention it, both my cameras have been doing this from 1.06 onwards. I never gave any serious thought to it as a glitch - just something I incorporated in my camera-use without thinking about it.

Hello To judge it as a real bug you should be sure about "no changement applied to any parameter in both menues"! If you change any parameter it has to went to "-" ... by definition! So I had care on that - and it happened still ... Michael
