dkCambridgeshire Posted August 26, 2012 Share #1 Posted August 26, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Today was the 9th Stamford Round Table Car Show held on Stamford Meadows, Lincolnshire, UK. All the vehicles were parked very close together which with the bright sunny weather was not conducive to good car photography. I much prefer dull and overcast lighting when photographing cars outside. However, it was an interesting afternoon out and once the cars started leaving there was a bit more room to use a camera. These two young ladies were spotted singing on top of this ancient split screen VW van and I took a few snaps using my Olympus E5 with D Summilux 25/1.4 and my Leica X1. The L.H.D. VW is probably in course of restoration and appears to have been imported from the USA ... both 101 SE Court Street, Pendleton, and Court Street Baker City are in Oregon ... but the van has been fitted with period UK number plates. I should have asked the owner about the VW's history but was rather more interested in listening to the girls' singing and playing ... the girl who was singing, nearest the camera, had a USA accent. pauledell Posted August 26, 2012 Share #2 Posted August 26, 2012 Dunk, A fine picture. It looks like the first might be more accurate for color. The second picture seems a bit over-saturated. Paul

The second picture seems a bit over-saturated. Paul I am colour blind so am never too sure about the colours - but the X1 does result in less saturated colours.
