jip Posted August 25, 2012 Share #1 Posted August 25, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yesterday I bought A Leica M8.2, it looks brand new, smells brand new, and according to the HEX shuttercount it only fired 129 pictures when I got my hands on it! Bought it for 2200 euro, seemed to me for a 'new' Leica M8.2 a fair price. I must say I really like the shutter over the M8's shutter! Further on it looks better! Welcome, dear visitor!
Mal sehen was die Zukunft bringt (M10 / Sony FF mirrorless)... Jeff S Posted August 25, 2012 Share #5 Posted August 25, 2012 Have you upgraded the M8 shutter with the last update? The M8.2 incorporates the shutter upgrade (and the other upgrades...frame lines and LCD screen...available through the M8 upgrade program), plus a few other enhancements. If you're referring to firmware updates, 2.005 addresses the 'shutter fault' error message that affected some cameras; the latest update is 2.014. Jeff S Posted August 25, 2012 Share #6 Posted August 25, 2012 That's a terrific price for a mint M8.2 (about $2700 US). I thought I got a great deal on a mint chrome one (to supplement the black one I bought new) a year or so ago for $3400. Mine came with a warranty; hope yours did as well.
