A note to potential international bidders: according to Amateur Photographer bought (won) items have to be collected from the shop in Leicester. It doesn't sound like the auctioneer will arrange postage but it's not clear from the Conditions of Sale which repeatedly refer to the Special Conditions.

I haven't been able to obtain the Special Conditions and it seems likely that the Special Conditions are only available after you've registered. Regrettably a condition of registration is agreeing to be bound by the Conditions of Sale, and thereby also the Special Conditions that can't be viewed, so I think I'll pass on principle.

True but I'd also prefer not to share my details on the off-chance of a juicy morsel when the Privacy Policy is also not available so it's not clear whether my details would be sold on. A small point perhaps but important to me.:)

It says - the first Auction runs for a week starting 28th. Looks like you put in a maximum bid amount and if that is topped they e-mail you. Depending on value bids go up in £25,£50 etc steps - it is all on the site.

from what I saw on the general conditions buyers commission is 25% +VAT on top of the selling price.......

Might take a punt on some Leica Bins but there is nothing exciting on the photo front....:(

....especially if the two rumoured 28mm's happen on 17/9! The M7 "digital" should have collectors excited though.

Pete, the auctioneers obviously follow this forum and the privacy conditions are now available on the registration page.

Privacy Statement and Cookies

If you are still concerned, the other option would be to register with false details to check out the T&Cs and only provide them with the correct info if you are satisfied and want to bid on something. Personally, I think there is too much of this compulsory harvesting of personal data before allowing people to access information.

Regards

Mike
