colonel Posted August 21, 2012 Share #1  Posted August 21, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Sorry if this is well known here, but in the UK there is a two year warranty for the M9, M9-P and all lenses except for the Summarits (which are a 1 year warranty)  What is the situation in: 1. Italy 2. Germany 3. The Netherlands 4. Luxembourg  ??  and is the warranty transferrable to other EU countries. i.e. if I buy in Italy, will Leica UK honour the warranty  many thanks in advance
Advertisement Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Hi colonel, Take a look here Quick question on guarantees. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jeff S Posted August 21, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted August 21, 2012 Terms and conditions are specified here. Purchase from UK authorized dealer is discussed; also note the distinction between warranty and Passport. Â I live in the US, which has different rules, as discussed in numerous threads. I get peace of mind by carrying my own insurance. Â Jeff
colonel Posted August 21, 2012 Author Share #3 Â Posted August 21, 2012 Thanks However I know all about the uk one Its the other eu countries I am interested in
andybarton Posted August 21, 2012 Share #4 Â Posted August 21, 2012 Have you looked at Leica's pages for the ther countries?
jaapv Posted August 21, 2012 Share #5 Â Posted August 21, 2012 Two years, no passport. All EU countries and worldwide as far as I am aware. The guaranty is a factory one, so it is irrelevant where you bought the camera, even the USA is covered.
Jeff S Posted August 21, 2012 Share #6 Â Posted August 21, 2012 Exactly, which is why I cited the UK provisions as being different. And the US is different in regards to the Passport. Â Jeff
