Personally i find it very anoying (indent) I would like to hear others opinion on this I use the S2 almost 95% with the grip and find it ok. It takes a little time for accomodation, though. My main critics are: - the price (allmost the price of a good camera) - the price (it's not made as well as the S2) - the price (it's made in China, after all) - the asymetric concept of the holding screw. but as for me it's an absolutely necessary tool, I wouldn't complain to much. It just does what it should do

jip Posted August 31, 2012 Share #4 Posted August 31, 2012 I also thought you meant the optional grip, might confuse some people here.

Personally i find it very anoying (indent) I would like to hear others opinion on this If you are talking about the grip of the camera itself and not an add-on, quite the contrary for me. I find gripping the camera to be an absolute joy but I do have very small hands. In fact, it makes the camera feel lighter as the grip is really ergonomic and one of the nicest I have found for cameras of that size.
fjheimann Posted October 23, 2012 Share #6 Posted October 23, 2012 For my hands the grip is ok, but I prefere the additional, Franz
Alejandro AR Posted December 31, 2012 Share #7 Posted December 31, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I also find the grip on the camera ok. For vertical shooting the additional grip is a must, I think. However, I prefer the solution Nikon picked for the D4 with their built in "2nd grip". Smaller but with better thumb rest. Way better than on the D3s. Grip on the S is good though, just bulky. But they need the extra space for the battery.
