Scarlet Posted August 8, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted August 8, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Over the last 5 months, I've run around 65 rolls through my TTL and haven't been at all careful to set the shutter dial to off or B when not using the camera. Yesterday the meter began working intermittently so I figured it's time to change the 1/3N battery. Â I know that from a storage point of view, silver oxide batteries, like the 357s/SR44s have shorter shelf-life than the lithium 1/3Ns do. The difference, however, is in years if I understand it correctly. Â But is there a difference in real-world usage, that is how many rolls one gets? Advertisement Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Hi Scarlet, Take a look here M6TTL batteries: 2x357 vs. 1xDL1/3N. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
too old to care Posted August 8, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted August 8, 2012 The manual says about 80 rolls of film with 10 second metering time. I never get this much, guess I meter too much. I just change my batteries (357/303) about once a year and carry another set with me.
yst Posted August 9, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted August 9, 2012 Greetings! Â I've had those two types of batteries used on my M6 TTL and M7, results are similar, although the DL 1/3N is more convenient to carry and exchange (particularly for the M7), as well in cold weather. Â I fine the batteries seem to last a good long time even with good uses of the cameras.
