IWC Doppel Posted August 2, 2012 Share #21  Posted August 2, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I looked a few months back and realised that the cheapest and smallest is SD cards, I found a good supply of Sandisk 8GB cards for £7 each. Thats 280 shots (Including B&W fine jpg) per £7, plus a Portfolio de-risk and no moving parts. Is there a smaller, cheaper, more flexible, accessible system for 100-200GB ?  If you expect to shoot more than 1,500 pictures (You can delete the mistakes on camera in the evening) then go up on card size ? algrove Posted August 2, 2012 Share #22 Â Posted August 2, 2012 Good idea, but redundancy is not gained with this approach since your images while traveling reside in only one place. Â I prefer to leave my images on the SD card as you suggest PLUS backing them up elsewhere such as an external drive if you have a computer along to make that happen. Agree with earlier post, I also gave up on the iPad due to difficulties with RAW files.
pico Posted August 2, 2012 Share #23 Â Posted August 2, 2012 Yes- but you need to have one that can download SD cards directly, and I am not aware that any can. Â That's what my boss once said. The Woverine is very attractive for its size, ability to use different power, it is rechargeable - and rather slow, but Leica people should be accustomed to slow. Â In all, I am not really happy about the small storage size - 80gb max, but in time they will improve.
