paul6001 Posted July 29, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted July 29, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just paid $350 for one of these from Camera Quest. I chose it from among the various options because it is small, and what I like about the X1, first and foremost, is the small size. So while the viewfinder is winging its way towards NYC, a few questions: Â Anybody have experience with one of these? Any tips/tricks for use? Can you just leave it mounted and forget about it? It's looks so small--Is it hard to see through? Other thoughts for maximum performance? (Guess I should have asked some of those before ordering it.) dave.gt Posted July 29, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted July 29, 2012 for $100 less you can get the Olympus Electronic VF Â I think he is fitting it to the X1 which doesn't use an EVF.

MGCast Posted August 2, 2012 Share #5 Â Posted August 2, 2012 It is really tiny. You won't be disappointed by the size. Build quality is also very good. Â I wear glasses and can see the frame lines (the outer ones for 28 are very close and the eye needs to be perfectly centered). The inner ones for 35, which are the ones you will be using, can be seen easily, although in artificial light (interiors) they sometimes "disappear" Â It has some barrel distortion. Â In the end I wound up not using it often, preferring the Voigtlander 35 (the round one). But that one is much bigger. If size is important for you, I think you'll be happy with your choice. Holgersen Posted August 3, 2012 Share #6 Â Posted August 3, 2012 A compromise in size between the Voigtlander minifinder 28/35 and the round voigtlander 35 might be the Zeiss 432/5.
