Advertisement (gone after registration)

 

Has anyone here used ScanDig?

 

I have had no email acknowledgement from them, despite two emails from me. The money has gone from PayPal, though.

Rooting around in my Spam email folder, I find an acknowledgement from them. They have received the PayPal, but no order. I have absolutely no idea how that can be, but to be honest, any company that relies on PayPal rather than a proper VISA/MC/Amex system clearly needs to rethink their on-line policy.

 

The email says that I should go back, re-order and then advise of a pre-payment. I did this, only to find that on numerous occasions, the cart was "empty"

 

Caveat emptor. I should have known better really - it's my own stupid fault.

 

Will have to look for an alternative supplier, I think. This lot cannot be trusted, in my experience.

I had actually read good things about them, but I'm annoyed that I'm unable at the moment to find where.

 

That they use PayPal shouldn't as such be a cause for concern, I think.

 

Perhaps ring them (there's a number here). if you want to be sure they're OK to deal with? Might give you peace of mind.

They have now started to communicate via email, so thing should be progressing, but I can't say that I'm very impressed with them.

 

They do have a new Coolscan 5000 scanner if you want one - the same number of Euros as the scanner name...

So, in the space of three hours you have got a response from them, plus a confirmation of the PayPal order that came through earlier in YOUR spam folder. :rolleyes:

Yes

 

I'm not impressed that they don't follow up an email that landed in spam and did nothing about refunding money that I paid via their clearly faulty on-line purchase system.

 

I'm not impressed that they only take PayPal. I most certainly wouldn't dream of spending five grand on a scanner with them.
