M10 with Live View - I'm wrong to yawn about this ?

Are you sure, that that is a relevant part? If we buy a shirt for say 50 Euro, the seamstress in Thailand - who actually makes it - becomes perhaps 50 cent (=1 %). With a Leica made in Germany the percentage will be a different one.

The greatest parts of the price for the enduser are sales and profits. And not to forget the sales tax (Germany 19%)!

 

Somewhere in a forum I have found, that Leica employees can become a 50% rebate, if they buy a part for a private ownership of minimum 3 years. Perhaps the percentage of the profits?

Yesterday we participated in a guided tour through some churches here in Nuremberg. With the Ricoh Mount (no rangefinder) and a 28/2.8 (= 42mm) the distance had to be set by estimating. My Elmar 90/4 (=135mm) worked fine with mode2, however.

If the M becomes just another me too camera, then the M will cease to be.

 

How could the M become another "me too" camera with those wonderful lenses? And that much image quality in such a compact form? Those are what make the M interesting to me, not the rangefinder focusing.
