luigi bertolotti Posted July 20, 2012 Share #2 Posted July 20, 2012 Usually evaluations are not matter of this forum : the Summicron 35 8 elements is an interesting item and a nicely usable lens (was MY 35 for 15 years about, before the arrival of my current asph... but have kept it, of course... ) , not rare (the screw mount version is such), with variants that make the price varying (Wetzlar - Canada - M3-goggled - rare black items....) : to have an idea if the price asked to you is in the right range, search for similar items at the well known international sellers... this one, for instance has a pair on his site : www.newoldcamera.com. It's not a high vintage lens (60's) but, anyway, conditions can be more ol less good, and this commands significantly the value/price.
chounws Posted July 20, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted July 20, 2012 Thank you Luigi, The shop will charge me around 2,500 $, as I did look around in ebay, it average around 3,000 up to the same condition. Do you agree that this price is reasonable, and if I resell should not be lose? Thank you agin. Chounchai
luigi bertolotti Posted July 20, 2012 Share #4 Posted July 20, 2012 More than reasonable... if conditions are really good I'd say is a pity not to buy : any lens named Summicron (35 50 90) and belonging to the first series within its focal will maintain a specific interest/value for collectors.
