ironhorse Posted July 23, 2012 Share #21 Posted July 23, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am very happy using the Abrahamsson mini convex soft release on my M3. I originally bought the mini only because I could not get the full size one in the style I wanted, but am pleased with the way things turned out. rulnacco Posted August 10, 2012 Share #22 Posted August 10, 2012 I use the large Abrahamsson soft release on my M3 and M6. I don't use it all the time, but when slow shutter speeds are required it works great, especially when you use the recommended technique of hooking the first joint of your index finger over the top of the release. I normally pull it off when it's not needed, to prevent accidental damage and because even the slightest touch will fire off an unintended frame--either remove it before you place your camera in the bag, or condition yourself not to wind on before you put it away, or you'll lose a frame, guaranteed. I usually just tuck the release into the small change pocket of my jeans so it's available at a moment's notice as needed. It's a very useful tool for 15-20 bucks. Use it when the situation requires, and like all good craftsmen, put it away when it's not needed.
