rcoles Posted July 19, 2012 Share #1 Posted July 19, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) We were in Staunton VA on July 17 and visited the Camera Heritage Museum at 1 West Beverly Street (540-886-8535) They have over 2,000 cameras from 1850 to current date and 1800 local antique images. The collection includes a good number of Leica’s (screw mount, M’s and R’s). Hours are M-F 9-5 Sat 9-2. Staunton is just off of I-81 near its intersection with I-64. The website is Camera Heritage Museum There are several good restaurants and interesting shops along Beverly Street. We had lunch at the Pampered Palate Cafe (at No. 26 E) about two blocks from the museum. It is a casual lunch place with good soup and sandwiches. The museum is well worth a visit if you are in the area and it is free. Bob

Pintpot Posted July 19, 2012 Share #2 Posted July 19, 2012 Cheers Bob Here is one in Austria I've been to:- Museums in Bad Ischl : Sightseeing in Bad Ischl Bad Ischl is a lovely town with the Kaiservilla (summer palace) and close to it is the 'Tea House' that houses the photographic museum, when I was there the top floor had a Leica room - well worth a visit, there was a small cost to enter.
