martin Posted July 15, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted July 15, 2012 hi Dave, Â a MP isn't the best tool for close ups but your two are really very impressive!
Sailronin Posted July 15, 2012 Author Share #4 Â Posted July 15, 2012 Thank you Stuart and Emile, As the title noted, my first roll with the new (used) MP so I was mostly testing the meter and the aloe plant is very close to middle gray and more interesting than a gray card. Thanks for looking and taking time to comment. Dave
jimofnyc Posted July 15, 2012 Share #5 Â Posted July 15, 2012 Wow, the detail is great! I got to get a scanner like yours... Jim
Sailronin Posted July 15, 2012 Author Share #6 Â Posted July 15, 2012 Thank you Jim The scanner is the Epson V500, much less expensive than the v700-750 series but limited to 120 film as opposed to the 700-750 which can do 4x5. I use the standard Epson software and then increase the contrast in NIK as the scans seldom come up to contrast of the original slides straight from the scanner.
