jimofnyc Posted July 14, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted July 14, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am really enjoying New York City's newest park. The vegetation is varied and the views from the old elevated railroad track are stupendous. I know flowers are getting to be old hack but I couldn't resist the beauty of this Ruellia humilis contrasted against the concrete of Manhattan... thanks for looking, Jim

jimofnyc Posted July 15, 2012 Author Share #3 Â Posted July 15, 2012 Yes, I really enjoy the High Line. Going early is an especially good idea with the afternoon heat and humidity. Also my more botanically inclined friends tell me that this flower is really a Hibiscus moscheutos. Shows what I know about plants, ...gee that one's pretty... what is it?
