I'm just getting used to using my M6.

Yesterday it was very bright and there were times when I just could not see the arrows in the viewfinder to set the exposure. I wear glasses (if this adds to the problem) and am waiting on an eyesight correction lens

Are there any tips if this happens again.

Hi David,

Just a thought, have you tried changing the batteries with fresh ones? It may just be that they're running down a little. My M6 manual advises a 20hour life and that the LEDs will start to dim at the end of the battery life. Meter accuracy is maintained if the batteries are visible. I wear glasses and typically shoot in very bright conditions but have yet to have a problem reading the meter.

Same thing happened here !

And with a new set of batteries my M6 always comes back to life. So will yours. But the good thing is, even with dead batteries the M6 is still alive and with a bit of guessing the exposure you can keep on shooting.

Best
