Well- just picked up the first roll of film I shot with my recently acquired IIIf (1955) and 5cm Summitar (1948), having developed a subsequent B/W roll at home. Film was Fuji Pro ISO 400, developed and low-res scanned by my local photo shop.

I am very impressed with the shots from the Summitar, especially as these were all taken without a hood (thanks again for the tips re: filters and hoods, they are on their way).

Apart from the first shot posted, all the others were taken with a Nooky-Hesum around the house/ backyard...what a nifty little accessory, and very easy to use. To recent questions regarding ease of use of LTM cameras- I say easy! (Although I've never tried an M).

It seems that I'm hooked...

Welcome to the forum and hope you're having fun with your IIIf! When I bought my IIIc it came with a Summitar but mostly I use it with a Voigtlander 21 Color Skopar. After viewing your images the old 50 is coming out of storage for a while...

Wellcome to The forum.

You will love your III forever.

I have a III (a bare III, not a IIIc or f) made in 1933, still working perfectly.

It's the camera my dad gave me when I was a kid in the seventies to learn photography.

A few years ago I inherited it and every time I use, I recall my daddy and I'm 9 again.

It's more than a camera.

Hey Remi

Thanks for posting the images, the colours look wonderful on my screen. I very much like the rendering of the out of focus areas. I often bring my 1950 Summitar on my II when going for a walk or even a jog. Perfect pocket camera. I find that the Summitar is very good for portraits, too.

cheers
