X2 - Optical Low-Pass or Anti-Aliasing Filter?

I can't seem to find an answer to this, but does the X2 have this type of filter to help prevent moire`? As I understand it, the X1 did not, and that's one reason why it's images were so sharp. I asked this question of Leica Pre-Sales Support but have yet to hear back.

Thank you, got it. Reid writes, that the Ricoh A16 does not use an AA filter and that the Fuji X100 does use "very mild AA filtering". The X2 shows "very similar (somewhat lower) levels of detail" and this makes him "wonder, if perhaps they use the same type of AA filter."

 

He continues that he "believe the company could get more out of the camera if they dropped the AA filter (as they've done on all of their higher end digital cameras)", and I agree with you that this can only mean that the X2 does use an AA filter, even though a mild one.
