farnz Posted September 8, 2012 Share #49 Posted September 8, 2012 A small meeting but very enjoyable and thoroughly worth the journey from London. (I've just got home.) Bristol harbourside did us proud for photogenic things going on and the weather - both of which I suspect were arranged by Gibbo despite what he claimed. I can tell that he has influence in all the right places. Many thanks to Gibbo for organising and very sorry for those who couldn't attend because you missed a thoroughly enjoyable day and the best bacon roll this side of the Restaurant at the End of the Universe. Very glad to have met Dave B. and I hope he reads this as a new forum member. I shall post a picture or two if I find that there's anything even slightly rescueable from the bin. Pete. Gibbo Posted September 9, 2012 Author Share #50 Posted September 9, 2012 It was great to see you again, farnz, and I'm glad you enjoyed the day. As for the weather, we couldn't have asked for more and yes, those bacon rolls really are good I know that Dave really enjoyed the day and I'm sure we'll see more of him! How did you stop me from nicking Roberts's R9 Those who couldn't make it were missed and will be made very welcome at the next meet which, I reckon, will be in the spring next year. Looking forward to seeing photos and really must pull my finger out and finish this film off

robert_parker Posted September 9, 2012 Share #53 Posted September 9, 2012 It was great to see everyone on Saturday and to swap ideas, suggestions and very nearly cameras... Thanks to Gibbo for some great organising (and bacon sandwiches) and it was super to meet David, who just mabe might be encouraged to post on the forum. Nice photgraphs Pete - the Hells Angel one has come out really well given the risk of camera shake....!! I'll do my best to get mine posted this week ! bill Posted September 10, 2012 Share #55 Posted September 10, 2012 Sorry I missed it! I like the idea of Bristol in the Spring though. (Reaches for straw boater and starts humming "I love Bristol in the Springtime") Pete, those shots are great but the standout is "Flippin' it" which is simply exceptional. farnz Posted September 16, 2012 Share #59 Posted September 16, 2012 Thanks, Gibbo, nicely done although you might've picked a more photogenic subject than a grinning fool. Do you happen to know if Dave B received the magnifier? Pete.
