andit Posted March 8, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted March 8, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi all, Â Just seen that the C-Lux 2 has been released. That is great news for Leica, they are obviously selling camera's at quite a pace (seem to recall the D-Lux 3 was out of stock and back-ordered for quite a long time.) Â Now here comes a real wish for a compact digital camera with a non interchangeable lens. Dear Leica AG, is there any possibility to get a digital CM??? I would not even mind if you used a APS-C sized sensor in the 8 to 10MP range, or even the 4/3rds sensor currently employed in the Digilux 3. Just imagine the superb quality images that that would give you. I don't know how other people on the forum feel, but I really don't need a zoom lens in a Leica - I'd prefer my foot zoom thank you. As long as I can get a stunning image from a real compact. There seems to be a real market gap in this sector, just look how well the Ricoh GRD is doing, and we'll have to see how the much awaited Sigma DP1 is going to do. I'd still prefer to use a Leica though... Â I've now just chucked some change into the local wishing well - maybe somthing will come of it. larry Posted March 8, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted March 8, 2007 Andreas, Â I think this is an excellent wish -- it's one I've thought about, too. I'd like to see it in a zoom version. Â Larry
