C-Lux-2 - Spot the Difference!

Hi all,

As an owner and user of the C-Lux 1, still waiting for my M8 to arrive (only three weeks to go - hell it was 13 weeks at one stage), I've had a look at the specs of the new C-Lux 2. Lens is down to 100mm from previous 102mm (this is nitpicking, I know). What has changed on the outside is that the button to operate the OIS has been omitted. They have obviously decided to make this menu based instead. Then the resolution has been boosted from 6 MP to 7.4 MP. Sadly they still don't have the option of saving in RAW, jpg's only. Apart from that it looks pretty much the same.

Mark it appears to be the same as the Pana FX07 as the CLUX1 was to the FX01.

One difference is SDHC support. And a different in ISO range 100 200 400 800 1250 (3200) opposed to 80 100 200 400 800 1600 for the CLUX1/FX01.

  • 2 weeks later...

Another difference is the intelligent ISO which, when activated, will automatically adjust ISO to deliver best results in available light. A useful feature when taking snapshots in low light.

Mind you, I couldn't recommend this camera as my last C-Lux died after only 4 weeks service and wasn't replaced by Leica. A shame because the images I took in that time were awesome.
