Your comment would be much more informative, if you would say what of the above statement you disagree with and why...

What, I'm not allowed to express a binary opinion just like Ramchand did? It seemed to me his first post was made in jest, since it included a reference to the 50 APO.

I simply don't think the retina MBP is the best screen for viewing "travel photographs" while travelling.

A little bulky for intensive travel and the glossy screen is just not what I think is a good way to view photos. Also. although it seems that I have every Apple product, Apple's move toward making it impossible for users to make the most basic of upgrades impossible is very disappointing.

I had a play with the new retina display MacBook pro in a local Apple store today and was very disappointed ... the glare is still very strong at all angles, when compared to a normal MacBook Pro side by side, the reflection is just as bad.

The flashy new screen may be attractive to many ordinary folks but certainly isn't good for photographic works.

I agree with this regarding it's use for serious photo editing. I also had a look at one on the weekend. I much prefer the antiglare hi-res screen on my previous-model 15-inch i7-MBP. Th retina display reminds me of Sony Brvia TVs: all over-saturated colours and strong contrast.

Having said that it is otherwise a very nice computer, and a future model will eventually replace my current MBP when it has outlived it's useful life.
