Sharpdressed Posted June 12, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted June 12, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I need to buy a clear protective filter for my Summilux 35 (latest model). I know there were issues with b-w filters getting stuck in the hood. Someone posted here that the hood was updated lately to address this issue. Since my lens shipped last november how I know if it has the updated hood and b-w filters will fit? Anyone with the new version can post the serial number? Â Thanks. wattsy Posted June 12, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted June 12, 2012 Both FLE Summiluxes I've owned (one bought July 2011 and one bought in March this year) have been fine with B+W filters fitted inside the hood. Your November vintage lens shouldn't be any different.

It is actually not very difficult to find here in the UK. In fact, I know two authorised dealers that had the lens in stock as recently as last weekend.  ... and why?  Why not?
