At the Air Show

Just some pictures from an air show last Sunday. I sent some of these to my dad and he reminded me about the first time he took me to this air show in 1964. I haven't been to this show much since the first years but they are still flying the same aircraft!! Terribly noisy, especially the Hawker Hunter. The b&w is from my M7 Summarit-M 50/2.5 Ilford XP2 400 film (and ND 0.3 filter).

stuny and pauledell - Thanks for the comments!

They did more daring maneuvers in the past though, like coming in at low level (200 meters?) idling the engine before entering over the audience and turning on the afterburners over the runway going straight up with a loud bang!

The names of the aircraft are a bit funny in English (and descriptive of the airplane shape too :p),

Tunnan = The Barrel

Draken = The Dragon

Viggen = The Tufted Duck

Lansen = The Lance (spear)

:)
