psquared Posted March 7, 2007 Share #1 Posted March 7, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Went hiking yesterday with my 560/5.6 mounted on Canon 1Ds2 to get some pictures for a local Canon club monthly contest. By the time I hiked up the trail, the sun went hiding behind the clouds then over the mountain . Here are what I was able to get: a California thrasher (I love the long, curved bill) and a lizard. Sorry for the misleading original title. Had a lapse. It's a thrasher and not a curlew.

stuny Posted March 7, 2007 Share #2 Posted March 7, 2007 Peter - Too bad about the sunlight, but the framing, subjects and details are all first rate.
psquared Posted March 7, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted March 7, 2007 Stuart, Thank you. I must say, I still like the DMR rendition much better. No surprise. Peter
