by the looks the 4 screws all sheared off pretty neatly? Or will the entire top have to be replaced? Methinks Leica made the foot of the flash too strong:eek:

A good example that something made of plastic isn't always crap...or that something made of metal always isn't.

PS. lucky thing you had your trousers on (I assume), or you could've had to perform a different kind of extraction than you were trained for

Blimey! Another reason not to use flash! Hope you get it sorted soon.

Think of what would have happend if the poor devil had sat on a large glass flashbulb, complete with Edison screw fitting. That could well have been the equivalent of a root canal job. Clearly, electronic flash is safer.

Flashpowder was not dangerous unless you ignited it. And cried Fire in the hole!

Hey, a little respect for us flashbulb enthusiasts, please. Besides, bulbs work with as little as three volts, and the large reflector would obviate, ah, a deep problem.

  • 4 weeks later...

That's a reasonable price, considering how horrific the damage looks from the picture.

Good to have it as new again:)

268,97 Euro plus shipping and VAT: 367,67 Euro.

Including clean and adjust RF.
