Zenfolio and Blogging

I've been very impressed with Zenfolio and am in the process of consolidating my various web presences there.

I just added blogging, which is now integral to ZF. Its functionality is basic, and configuration capability is somewhat limited, but it meets my modest needs as a hobbyist.

I'm not sure yet if I'm a blogger, but we'll see how that goes.

I wanted to invite my LUF friends to have a look. The blog is a link off the main menubar.

I have been using Zenfolio for several years and was pleased when they added the blog facility. Unfortunately IMO they made a mistake by only allowing photos from your galleries to be uploaded into the blogger. My preference is to have my gallery photos separate from my blog and this is not possible with the current release - ie you cannot upload from your computer (or phone) directly into the blog. I have suggested they look at this but unless they change it I'm sticking with Tumblr.

Very much like your images John!

Thank you, everyone. Really appreciate your comments.

Tony, I place public photos in a private gallery for loading to the blog. Viewers can't see the gallery, but they can see the pictures in the blog. It's a small extra step, but using a Lightroom to Zenfolio preset makes it easy. I notice that photos resized by ZF for the blog don't look as good as those shown at actual size, so I need a different version anyway.

Interesting post John - and some great images.

Have also been a Zenfolio user for several years now.

I saw the blog tools a few weeks ago but I don't think I can be a good blogger - not enough time and discipline...

You certainly seem to have more skills than I do...
