tappan Posted May 15, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted May 15, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I sent a 35mm summicron v 1V to be 6 bit coded. I got it back 6 bit coded with a test certificate that reads: "This Leica product was tested and inspected by Leica factory trained technicians and found to meet all factory standards." Is this what some in the forum and on ebay refer to as "CLA" ? In other words, what goodies did Leica actually perform in support of my little lens? Thanks, Mark

jaapv Posted May 15, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted May 15, 2012 They sniffed it, patted it on the head and gave it a lollipop. Â Seriously, they put on a coded mount, cleaned the lens elements put it on the test bench for focus, probably lubricated it and gave it a fnal test. Â Thanks Jaap :-) I would have been happy with the lollipop, but I think it's very nice that we as loyal customers are treated to a CLA without even asking, only when a 6bit coding was asked for. Nice job in Berlin, by the way! Mark
