Guest stanjan0 Posted May 14, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted May 14, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have read the most recent news Re: Leica show in Germany, and was puzzled that Leica updated their 50 MM f/2 and not there 50 MM f/1.4. So as of now which is their fastest lens not counting their Nocti?

jaapv Posted May 14, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted May 14, 2012 After answering I will close this thread as there are already plenty of threads running on the subject. The Summilux asph is 1.4 so it is faster than both the Apo-Summicron at 2.0 and Summicron at 2.0 Â The Summilux was updated and replaced by the Summilux asph a few years ago, the ApoSummicron is a seperate development running cocurrently with the Summicron.
