There are quite a number of beta testers, a few of whom will publish results at the introduction of the gear with the consent of Leica. And reviewers will be provided with cameras before a launch. Â Some of them have declared their involvement - some haven't. Â Further, just because they had a pre-launch MM to play with, doesn't necessarily mean that they are any better informed than anyone else, next time. Â This is probably something that is best not discussed, to be fair. The forum has a very good working relationship with Leica - to the mutual benefit of both parties - and anything that might upset that is not to be encouraged, IMHO.
