AB007 Posted May 12, 2012 Share #1 Posted May 12, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Which LTM to M adapter do you recommend for using a Nikkor 10.5cm f2.5 on a M9 and M3? I have an Leica M adapter for 50 that I am using on my M3 but does not work on my M9. Not too sure which adapter to use on my M9 for the 10.5cm. I see couple of them which are made in China. Should I go with the old Leica adapter for 90? Your advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

luigi bertolotti Posted May 12, 2012 Share #2 Posted May 12, 2012 For China adapters ,me and a famous contributor of this section (JC) have been satified with this seller : jinfinance | eBay of course 10,5 cm frame simply does not exist in any M viewfinder : one can use the 90 frame and take experience about how much to mentally crop away... or find an old Leitz finder for 10,5 cm focal (or even, for instance, a used multifocal TEWE, which has the 100 mm setting)

Yes... the flanges with notches ready to be painted for coding are a good value for money... right holes, right quality, right price...
mmradman Posted May 15, 2012 Share #6 Posted May 15, 2012 Luigi, Thank you, placed order just now. What is your advice for painting indentations; only black or both white and black. Also is good quality marker pen [sharpie] good enough.
luigi bertolotti Posted May 16, 2012 Share #7 Posted May 16, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I used black & white lacquer ( a "trivial" one for painting plastic models)... JC used black only, using no paint for white... all OK
jc_braconi Posted May 16, 2012 Share #8 Posted May 16, 2012 I used black & white lacquer ( a "trivial" one for painting plastic models)... JC used black only, using no paint for white... all OK I confirm that I used black lacker only, including my friends around we used more then 30 of them Vs I & II and LTM to M with success. tobey bilek Posted May 30, 2012 Share #9 Posted May 30, 2012 A family experience with the jinfinance one was positive. The close focus wide open was better than with the Leica 90. I used GM universal black and Siera white auto touchup to code it. #3 round brush. If the pits overflow, allow to dry and scrape excess keeping blade flat. 90mm is as close as you will get.
