Mike Johnston - Why we need a B&W-only sensor

Much truth in the article. It also applies to the camera. My pictures would be different were I not using an M Leica. It is about how the camera subtly influences my mind's eye. I am always puzzled by posts with a colour and B&W version of the same subject from the same exposure. Suggests to me lack of original purpose. If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there.

I would probably buy an M9M - except for the price. It would do what I want to do.

Take b&w jpegs.

If you think you need DNG put your M setting to DNG+b&w jpeg. So you have b&w on your LCD and on the computer keep your monitor always desaturared = monochrome.

If that is what you like all through the summer, start from there.

If not, go to Berlin and spend as much as a M9M costs.
