Should I sell my 180mm?

I would hold off on selling your 180mm lens.

I agree that it is not used as frequently as either the 35, 70 or even the 120 but... when the situation requires a telephoto, the 180mm answers the call with dramatic and sharp pictures.

Too many people sell their lenses only to bemoan the loss soon after!

Don't fall into this trap!

I have the 120 mm and I am happy with it. Ideal portrait lens, with a much nicer/smoother bokeh than the 70 mm but very sharp and contrasty. Being a macro lens, and lacking a focus range limiter, it can hunt for focus quite a bit, though. I am still thinking about adding the 180 mm for longer reach and greater separation (and with an upcoming safari trip in mind). Not decided yet, weight and volume are a real consideration with this system in the context of travel; I often choose to travel with two lenses only and it may end up being the 35 and 120 this time.

Thanks, I've decided to keep it. Used it at a racetrack the other day and really loved the results.

Still want that 120 though. Have every lens for the system except this one...argh...

Not to worry, there are more in the mill to tempt you.

Grammz,

I have them all except the 180. Waiting for the C/S...

The Hasselblad Adapter is ordered, after the arrival there will be the 300 Fuji Lens.

The 120mm is excellent, go for it,

Greets,

Franz
