Concorde-SST Posted March 5, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted March 5, 2007 I guess all Leica M lenses are good for low light situations. The supreme leader there is of course the Noctilux. Â best, Â Andreas.
xrogers Posted March 5, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted March 5, 2007 In new Leica lenses, 35 or 50 Summicron are both great low light lenses. Â In used Leica lenses, any Summicron and most any Summilux. Â Until later, Â Clyde Rogers
Guest Olof Posted March 5, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted March 5, 2007 Summilux 50mm, and with this lens you have e good low loght lens, and also the best lens Leica produces at the moment. The Noctliux ist to big, nice to have but no need to have it.
george + Posted March 5, 2007 Share #5 Â Posted March 5, 2007 You may wish to look at the Voigtlander Noktons. Both 50 and 35 mm.
tashley Posted March 5, 2007 Share #6 Â Posted March 5, 2007 Summilux 50mm, and with this lens you have e good low loght lens, and also the best lens Leica produces at the moment. The Noctliux ist to big, nice to have but no need to have it. Â Â I agree 100% with Olof. The 50 lux is by far the best lens I have. There are widespread reports of the noctilux having inaccurate focus on the M8 and I have returned to 35mm lux's for the same reason. I believe it to be endemic to that lens that it focusses well wide open and then back-focusses thereafter as you stop down. The 50mm lux is immaculate throughout and is an utterly wonderful piece of glass. Â Tim
