Greetings All,

I've spent around nine months on a project to shoot a film and photographs on an amazing hospital, the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in the UK (Stanmore, Middx).

Reportage On The RNOH | Photo This & That

I used a Leica M9 and M9-P with the 50mm Noctilux, 35 Summilux ASPH (current version) and 28mm Summicron. The video aspects were shot on a pair of Canon 5D MkIIs.

Here are some behind the scenes images and notes:

I'd love to hear your thoughts and if you are touched by what you see and hear, would love it if you would pop by their page and make a donation:

Lastly, for anyone interested, here's the 'normal' video version:

Cheers All,

I'm visually fried from 7 hours covering Occupy Denver May Day march - but I will take a look as soon as my brain recovers. ;) Thanks for posting.

Wow; long day!!

Look forward to your thoughts once your mind's had a chance to chill :-)

Cheers,

Edmond

Many thanks folks for the 'Thank You' presses.

Apologies for posting on this again but I want to have these documentaries get as much exposure as possible, to help this amazing hospital raise the needed funds. Please watch the film(s) and if you're moved, share it with friends and your social networks and if at all possible, make a little donation :-)

Many Thanks,

Edmond

Edmond, many thanks for your excellent images.

I work on orthopaedic wards from time to time, and have been a patient on one or two, so am qualified to say your images capture this setting perfectly.

Edmond - lovely lovely human work. For me this is at the heart of where documentary work can be central to the development of advocacy - and what you've done here builds on and extends a long and honourable tradition. Thanks for the skill and compassion that are shown here.

Thank you so much Chris. I'm touched at your reaction. It's been a project I've been very passionate about and wish that it helps them raise all the funds they so desperately need. An inspirational group of people doing astonishing work.
