john bartlett Posted April 25, 2012 Share #1 Posted April 25, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anyone experience of linking tracking data from a Garmin etrex to the to the metadata recorded in M9 files to display place and time of photograph capture. If so what software, file structure etc is required and how does one do it? John Bartlett
Advertisement Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Hi john bartlett, Take a look here Lightroom 4 - Garmin etrex. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
lodeway Posted April 25, 2012 Share #2 Posted April 25, 2012 You can use Geosetter to import the track from your Garmin, then import your photo's into Geosetter and Geosetter will write the co-ordinates to the Exif. You must ensure that the time on your Garmin and camera are synchronised first.
Bobitybob Posted April 26, 2012 Share #3 Posted April 26, 2012 If you can remember where you where when you took the shot you can drag the image from the photo strip along the bottom to the location and Lightroom will add the co-ordinates to the metadata for you.
