Anyone considering pruining their collection due to the M8?

Sold the M7 before the M8 came. Keeping my D-Lux 3. Keeping all my Canon stuff (5D plus lost of lenses) for a safari I will someday take. The Nikon 8008 and F3 are in a drawer and unless things change are worth bupkis (technical term) so I'm keeping them too.

Oh, and keeping my little Canon S-50 and its underwater case for the once yearly snorkeling.

Both M6 are gone to owners who might use them. I had not used them but one time in the last four years once I went digital with Canon. I sold my 75 1.4 2 years ago as I read that Leica would never do a digital M. Fortunately I did not sell the others.

The Canon 1Ds will remain in use and is functioning as the back up to the M8 which is in Solms. I may buy the proverbial 1DsIII when it gets announced, or a second M8 if my M8 has any of the problems 13% have had. I had been delaying sending it in for the update but when it locked up a second time and the battery removal didn't restart it, I sent it in.

I have no 35mm film cameras, and want to sell my twin liens Rolli. I will hang on to a Pentax 6x7 in hopes that the lenses can be used some day on a digital Pentax medium format.

The camera I love is the M8. As you can tell I am willing to put up with problems, but if it had locked up on my Mexico shoot I would have been up the creek without a spare.
